Presentation guidelines

Below are the presentation guidelines per presentation type.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to email us at aquaconsoil@deltares.nl.

Oral presentations

The time allocated for a presentation is 15 minutes, with a further 3 minutes allowed for discussion. Chairs are instructed to stick to the time, so please remember this when you are preparing your presentation. It is generally distracting to the audience to have too many slides in a short presentation and do not put too much text on a slide – you want the audience to listen to you and not to be reading your slides.

You will probably wish to prepare some PowerPoint slides to support your presentation. You will not generally be able to plug your own laptop into the conference projection system.

To ensure a smooth presentation setup, we kindly ask that you send your presentation as soon as finished, but before Monday 11th 12:00 to aquaconsoil@deltares.nl. If necessary, please use wetransfer.com for large files.

Special sessions

The layout and setup of the special session is free and should be different from the layout of regular thematic sessions. We highly recommend an interactive setup of the session. If you need any tips or recommendations on the possible setups of your session and how to engage with your audience, please feel free to contact us. During the conference, please make sure that your are on time at the premises to prepare your session.

Please let us know if you need any supporting materials such as flip-overs or digital tools such as Kahoot or Mentimeter. Contact us via aquaconsoil@deltares.nl

All rooms have excellent digital opportunities and Wifi. Room layout option as stated by CZU:

  • Z118: 36pax - flexible layout
  • D222: 60pax - flexible layout (but preferred not to be moved)
  • D216: 30pax - flexible layout
