What to expect

Our program offers a comprehensive series of technical sessions, with each full conference day beginning with a plenary session featuring expert keynotes and insightful panel discussions tailored to scientific and engineering professionals. Beyond these sessions, participants can enjoy field-specific excursions, advanced courses, and an extensive exhibition with around 30 industry-focused exhibitors. Networking opportunities are woven throughout to encourage meaningful connections and collaborative discussions. This program is designed to create memorable experiences that deepen professional relationships and foster impactful, cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Who should attend?

At AquaConSoil we traditionaly welcome scientists, policy- and decisionmakers and industry representatives who gather to learn, share and engage on sustainable use and management of soil, sediment and water resources. The AquaConSoil community consists of well-established scientists, thought leaders, policymakers and experts which expands every edition with new young professionals. 

Since 1985 we welcome approx. 600 visitors from all over and outside Europe.

Our Focus Areas

The conference explores four pivotal themes to advance sustainable management of soil, sediment, and water resources. These themes encompass holistic approaches to soil and water systems, addressing ecosystem services, impacts of urbanization and climate change, and fostering community engagement (Theme 1). Innovative strategies are highlighted for remediating contaminated environments through advanced technologies and multidisciplinary collaboration (Theme 2). The integration of digital technologies enhances environmental monitoring, data management, predictive modeling, and ecological simulations (Theme 3). Methodologies like Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA) integrate social, economic, and health perspectives to meet regulatory standards and enhance public engagement (Theme 4).
